Privacy Policy

In general, the law protects the privacy of all communication between a client and a psychotherapist. I can only release information about your treatment to others if you sign a written authorization.  You can revoke a written authorization at any time in writing. (There are three exceptions--elderly abuse, child abuse, or harm to self or others in which your authorization is not required for me to release information.  In these situations, however, I will try to discuss them with you, when possible, before I take action and I will limit my disclosure to what is necessary.)

Information about our privacy practices and what we do and what we do not do with your information, is detailed in the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices Statement and Notice of Information Practices and Privacy Statement, which you can examine in the Required Forms area of this website.
